Our office uses state-of-the-art technologies to provide the best possible service for our patients. These new technologies allow us to treat dental cases with precision, detect dental concerns at early stages, and provide stunning and customized restorations.
Most of our impressions for crowns, bridges, and veneers are now done without trays and impression material! Carestream CS3600 digital scanner allows us to take a 3-D image of our preparations and send them immediately to the laboratory for incredibly precise custom restorations. Patient comfort and accuracy make this process a winner with our patients.
We use Carestream Dental RVG sensors to take clear diagnostic images that require 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays. We have 3 sensor sizes to fit down to the smallest mouths. The software also integrates with Logicon Caries Detection system, allowing us to see more precisely whether a questionable area is a cavity or not.
Integrated Computer Software
Our powerful software system seamlessly integrates all aspects of our office. We have been paperless since 1998, thus allowing very easy access to history of all records, both dental and financial. On the management side, patients appreciate the ease of making appointments, filling out forms securely on line, electronic insurance claims processing, treatment plan estimates, easy to understand ledger statements. On the dental side, we can track all aspects of care from treatment planning to completion of restorative care, fused with x-ray and camera images. This information is readily transmitted to all staff members as well as any specialists the patient may be referred to.
This is a three-in-one solution (suction, bite block, retraction) to accessing teeth, keeping patient’s tongues and cheeks safe, creating a dry field, and having a comfortable way to relax your jaw during many procedures. Patients whose jaws get tired easily have really appreciated being able to rest on the bite block. Another positive response has been that there aren’t any bad tastes because the suction is great and the tongue is never involved. From our standpoint, the easy access and clean, dry field make for better and faster dentistry. It’s a win/win situation for patient and dentist.
Soft Tissue Laser
Our office utilizes the Biolase Epic X soft tissue laser. This instrument performs a variety of tasks to allow the best restorations possible within a clean, clear working field. For example, we can utilize this instrument for optimal impressions, removal of gum tissue to gain access to a cavity that needs restoration, removal of tissue that may be excessive after orthodontic treatment and treatment of cold sores.
An essential dental instrument for visualizing the oral cavity, we use an Orascoptic dental loupe with a built-in light that has two brightness features. The magnification, wide field of vision, and light help to create an optimal working environment.
